Volunteering

We’re using SignUp.com to organize our volunteer opportunities for teens. We’ll need help with everything from crafting to cleaning to leading the community. Just sign up for what you’d like! If the times listed don’t work for you or all the spots are filled, just call Miss Emily at (262) 342-1140 or email at elaidley@burlington.lib.wi.us.

Programs for Teens at the Burlington Public Library! 

Carnival Escape Room

Monday Jun 27, 2023 2:30pm-4:30pm

The carnival is coming! In this carnival themed escape room, attendees will need to figure out the password to get out of the carnival.  This is set to be a half hour long, and meant for a group of no more than 5.  Tweens can pre-register as a group, or sign up at the door.

Budding Book Club

Tuesdays, Jun. 20, Jul. 18, Aug. 22, 3:30 p.m. 

Grades 4-7

This new book club will be hosted monthly throughout the summer. Each month, kids can choose one of two or three books to read. While the books are all different, they have themes in common for us to discuss. There will be spoilers for the book you didn’t read during our discussion! Books will be available at the reference desk for checkout starting 30 days before the meeting. This club is intended for kids going into grades 4-7.

Middle Grade Mission

Tuesdays, Jul. 11, Jul. 25, & Aug. 8, 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Grades 4-8

Bored of sitting at home all day in front of a screen? Need a challenge to get your juices flowing and let out a little energy? Come join us for a mix of minute-to-win-it, teambuilding, and problem solving games. This program is best for kids going into grades 4-8 and will be held outdoors, weather permitting.

Service Learning Hours available for teens.

Totally new to the Library, but not new to the Library System, be part of a group of teen leaders who are making a difference in their communities. Meet new teens and adults who know how to create positive change! Have a voice! Join alone or bring a friend. We will be meeting during LIFT (Library Is For Teens).
