Teen Culinary Class

Fridays from 3:00-5:00

7/8, 7/29, 7/15, 8/5,7/22, 8/12

Grades 6-12

Teens who reach the halfway point of their Summer Reading Program will be invited to register for one of these special culinary classes! We’ll teach teens and tweens to cook easy meals they can replicate at home. And, yes, you get to eat what you make! Registration Required.

Teen Murder Mysteries

Every Third Tuesday Evening 6:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.

Hey Teens! Do you want to test your detective skills?  Were you a champ at playing Clue? We have a monthly murder mystery waiting for you then!  Each mystery will have three objectives that you need to find the answers to within one hour.

Exam Cram Night

Monday, June 6, 8:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Grades 6-12

Come to the library to study in a quiet space for exams.  We will have snacks and drinks to help you keep up energy to get through your notes.  Librarians will be on staff to help direct you to resources that can help you make sense of the information you are studying. We will also have therapy dogs on hand to ease the tension! This program is after hours and will require a signed permission slip to be on file.  Please register online.  

Boho Rainbow Earrings/Keychains

Tuesday, Jun. 14th, 3:00-4:00 p.m.

We’ll be making boho-inspired rainbows! Take your pick of making them into earrings or keychains. This is an all-ages event, all materials are supplied, and registration is required.

At Campaign Plus

Interested in this whole D&D thing, but think it’s too complicated? The dense books look a little intimidating? Relax! Come learn with us! Each month we’ll explore a different aspect of playing the game with new players, seasoned players, and dungeon masters alike. We are partnering with Campaign Plus game shop which just opened this year! Meet others who are interested in tabletop RPGs and learn how to play or dungeon master like a pro. This event will be held at Campaign Plus 2 blocks down from the library. Anyone who would like can meet at the library and walk over together as a group. Or you can just meet us there!

Teen Amazing Library Race 

Saturday Jun 25, 2022 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

For Teens and Tweens (Grades 6-12)

Join us for an exciting Amazing Race- Library style.  Based on the TV show, there will be several locations that have tasks for you to do! Be the team that completes the tasks for prizes! You will need to register in groups of 2 in order to participate in this program.

Teen Summer Reading Party

Friday, August 5 from 7:00-10:00 p.m.

Grades 6-12

Teens who finish their Summer Reading Program will be invited to register for this special after hours celebration of summer, reading, and being a teen or tween! Come and enjoy friends, food, games, dancing, art, and some bookish nerding out! Registration required.

Make your own Sugar Scrub

August 16th 5:30pm

Registration required. Teens and Adults only.

All supplies provided. We will be using essential oils, if you have allergies to certain scents please be aware. 

Service Learning Hours available for teens.

Totally new to the Library, but not new to the Library System, be part of a group of teen leaders who are making a difference in their communities. Meet new teens and adults who know how to create positive change! Have a voice! Join alone or bring a friend. We will be meeting during LIFT (Library Is For Teens).
