Assistant Director (apply by July 10)

The Burlington Public Library in Burlington, Wisconsin is accepting applications for the full-time position of Assistant Director. Under the supervision of the Library Director, this position manages the day-to-day operations of the library, supervises all public service staff, oversees collection development and maintenance, administers library programs and outreach, and promotes library services to the community.

Burlington Public Library is located in southeastern Wisconsin, with a municipal population of 10,980 and a total service population of 19,500.  We are a member of the SHARE Library Consortium, serving Racine, Walworth, Kenosha, and Rock Counties.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from an ALA accredited institution; Five (5) years’ experience in library operations required (public library experience preferred); Excellent communication skills, strong customer service and supervisory skills required.

Compensation: Starts at $56,638.40 annually and includes a competitive benefits package.
