accessibility upgrades

Open During Construction

UPDATE 7/18/2022:

Come on in!  Please pardon any noise or dust while elevator and bathroom construction continues.  If you have any questions, please call the library at 262-342-1130.

UPDATE 7/7/2022:

The library closure has been extended through July 17. Please note that on days when construction work is less disruptive and messy, we may allow patrons in to check out or briefly browse. This can change moment by moment given the specific construction activities taking place, so please be patient.  Curbside service will also remain available.

The Library is closed to the public from June 27-July 17. (These dates may change depending on the progress of construction.) Library programs will be held in nearby parks or rescheduled until after the closure. Books may be returned in the library book drop or at nearby public libraries.

Curbside pickup of Holds will be available on the following schedule during the closure:

Monday – Thursday
3 pm – 8 pm
3 pm – 6 pm
9 am – 4 pm

The City of Burlington has received Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to upgrade city facilities to increase accessibility in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). As part of these upgrades, an elevator will be installed in the library building and bathrooms on the main and lower level will be updated to fully accommodate accessibility under the ADA. These upgrades are scheduled to take place throughout the Summer of 2022.
