Young Adult Programs
Teen Book Club Meets once a month on Tuesdays for half an hour. We all read the same book, and then discuss it together. You must register for this program. See Ms. Spiegelhoff or call 763-7623. NEW! Summer Book Club for Middle School Students This summer the library is hosting a book club for students entering grades 6-8. Its more than a book club, its a discussion and reading group...a connection to new ideas...new people...a new you. Free books and programs this summer to challenge your thinking, inside and out! It will be fun, no tests or homework, just interesting things to do and talk about. Maybe you didn't know this, but summer reading helps raise your grades, test scores and expand your vocabulary! We'll meet the Third Tuesdays of June, July & August from 3:30-4:00 pm. June 17 - Schooled by Gordon Korman July 15 - Dairy Queen by Catherine Murdock August 19 - Drums, Girls & Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick Please register (so we have enough books for everyone)! To register call Elena at 342-1130 after June 8th, or stop by the Youth Reference Desk at the Library. Volunteering Do you need credit for high school, 4-H or Scouting? Stop by the library and talk with Ms. Falk. You'll need to fill out an application form, and then we can set up a schedule. |
