Ask a Reference Question
This service is designed for
residents of Burlington and the Lakeshores Library System (Racine
and Walworth Counties).
We will provide short factual answers to questions or provide
suggestions to resources.
We may also recommend search strategies or web sites for
finding the information on the Internet.
We cannot provide
lengthy bibliographies nor can we provide legal, medical, tax or
financial advice.
If you have a more in-depth question or lengthy research question,
please come to the Reference Desk.
Service for
people living outside our service area will be limited to brief
genealogical or local history questions from resources unique to our
collection. General
reference questions should be referred to your local library.
We will try
to answer your question within three business days.
If you need a faster response, please come to the Reference
Desk or use our telephone reference service at 262-342-1130.
Be sure to
include your name, mailing address, fax and telephone numbers.
Be as
specific and complete as possible regarding your question.
